The picture above is of the  Dovecote Studio at Snape Maltings in the East of England.

Today traditional bricks are rarely used because it involves the use of valuable topsoil,firing which has become expensive due to the scarcity of firewood for charcoal required and expensive labour who must be paid better wages since the action against child and bonded labour.
